Welcome to the 2017 school year. In this our 105th year, our school remains committed to being first and foremost an educational institution focused on providing excellence in teaching and learning. Alongside this priority is our commitment to be a great Catholic school, a school that unashamedly celebrates the message of Jesus Christ. These priorities coexist in an environment that embraces the importance of ensuring our school environment is: safe and nurturing, continually fostering a sense of belonging and promoting an educational climate conducive to learning.
As School Principal, I am very proud of the professional school staff at St Francis and in 2017 I believe we will quickly see the benefits of our investment in smaller straight year level classes across the school.
Our students and families are integral to our success as an educational institution and at St Francis we are truly blessed by the generosity of our families. We ask our students to model Christian values and to follow the school rules of being; safe, responsible, respectful and proud. Importantly we realise that this process is developmental, after all we are only human.
Thank you for prioritising the importance of a Catholic education for your child. We welcome all families to 2017, a year where we strive to live up to our motto of “Christ and Knowledge”
Yours in Christ,
Mr Bill Goodwin
